Family film
Add your own song
The music offered with the film is royalty-free. To use your family's favourite song, add it yourself in a few minutes with a free app.
The easiest way: when you create or edit your film, choose “No music, I'll add my own”, then download it.
With CapCut, free on iPhone and Android
Step 1
Download your film
On your film's page, choose “Download the film”. Ideally a film made without music: otherwise you will mute its sound in a later step.
Step 2
Open it in CapCut
Install CapCut from the App Store or Google Play. Create a new project and pick your film from your videos.
Step 3
Add your song
Tap “Audio”, then choose your song from the files on your phone. If the film already has music, tap the video and turn its volume down to zero.
Your song must be a file that belongs to you: a track bought as a download (MP3 or M4A) or a family recording. Songs played on Apple Music or Spotify are protected and cannot be imported.
Step 4
Line up the start
Drag the song so that it starts with the first picture, then cut whatever runs past the end of the film. A fade at the end makes it close more gently.
Step 5
Export in 1080p
Tap the export button at the top right, choose 1080p, then save the video to your phone.

- A commercial song that you add yourself is fine for a film watched within the family circle.
- Posted on YouTube or Facebook, a video with a commercial song may be blocked or muted.
- Keep the “Photos animated with AI” notice at the end of the film.
